Our Construction Team is always hard at work making affordable homeownership a reality. You can help a family realize the dream of owning a home and even learn a thing or two about the homebuilding process, because we build all our new homes from the ground up. In 2012, we finished our E. Gilman subdivision, which is now home to 33 Habitat families. Beginning in 2013, we began focusing our work in the McComb/Veazey neighborhood, and we’re excited about partnering with several other organizations to increase our impact. We have built over 20 homes in this area to date, and will continue to build in this area for the next several years.
Our Pinhook Pocket Neighborhood is currently under construction! The development is situated between S. Magnolia Street and Gauthier Road, off of Pinhook. When completed, there will be 13 homes in the development. This construction is part of Lafayette Habitat’s continued partnership with the McComb/Veazey Coterie and are part of the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan.
