Our ReStore (located at 3123 1/2 Johnston Street) is a home improvement thrift store that has been helping raise money for Lafayette Habitat since 2007. Everything we sell at the ReStore — new and gently used building materials, furniture and other home goods — is generously donated to us by local individuals and businesses. Thus far we’ve saved thousands of usable items from the landfill, and proceeds from the sale of those items have helped fund the completion of 67 Habitat homes!
The ReStore is a very dynamic environment, and volunteers will find themselves doing a little bit of everything! Volunteers will work the floor in a variety of roles including processing donations, assisting customers, answering phones and so much more. Shifts are available Tuesday-Saturday of every week and volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Just like other retail environments, the store closes on major holidays to allow our employees to spend time with their families.
