Although Sandra worked hard her entire life to provide for her children, she never thought she would be a homeowner. However, raising her children proved to be a challenge without having affordable and reliable housing. “But I kept my head up,” explained Sandra. “I kept God first….Anyone can do this if you have faith and dreams, because they will come true.”  Today Sandra lives in her dream home, back in the neighborhood where she grew up, close to friends and family.

During her homeownership journey, Sandra received a Warrick Dunn Foundation Grant, providing her with down payment assistance as well as the gift of home furnishings. Sandra celebrated her home dedication on Friday, April 26, 2013, surrounded by family, friends, and volunteers who all had played a part in making her dream come true.
