Every penny you donate supports hard-working local families through our First-Time Homebuyer program and critical repair program.
Your donation will help local families by giving them a hand up, not a
hand out. LHFH provides the opportunity for working families to own a zero-interest, 30-year mortgage, which is possible because your gift, along with grants and volunteer labor, subsidize the cost of the house.

In-Kind Gifts
When individuals or organizations donate goods or services, those donations are considered gifts-in-kind. LHFH accepts items such as lunch or water for volunteers and items for home dedications such as Bibles, hammers/toolkits, and hand-made quilts. Contact our team for more information.
Planned Giving
You can leave Lafayette Habitat a gift in your will, name Lafayette Habitat as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, charitable trust, or annuity. Please contact us for additional information to set up a gift or grant through your donor-advised fund.
Donate a Vehicle
The ‘Cars for Homes‘ program takes donated cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, RV’s and other vehicles and sells them through automobile auctions, recyclers or salvage yards to raise funds that build simple, decent homes for Habitat. Sales of vehicles benefit the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate and community where the donation is made. ReStore Donations
“Giving back” takes on a whole new meaning at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, a discount home improvement center. Whether you’re a homeowner, business owner, contractor, or builder, it begins when you donate your new or gently used, surplus or salvaged materials to Habitat for Humanity. You can drop off your or for larger items, you can schedule a free pick up!
