Healthy Homes Repair Program

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Healthy Homes Repair Program assists qualifying homeowners by providing essential repairs that improve health and safety while preserving the home as a long-term asset for both the family and the community. Repairs focus on critical issues such as roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other health and safety concerns.

This program serves qualified low-income, owner-occupied households located within designated neighborhoods of the 70501 zip code.
Applications are accepted during designated windows only. The first application window will open April 1 through May 1, 2026. A second window will open September 1 through October 9, 2026. In 2027, additional application windows will be offered in the spring and fall.

Applications submitted outside of these windows will not be reviewed but may be placed on a waitlist for future consideration.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

If you or someone you know qualifies for these repairs, our staff members will send additional information and registration forms by direct mail. As this program becomes successful, availability to this resource will expand to other neighborhoods in Acadiana. Please review the repair criteria for homeowners in the current focus area.
